On March 4, 2026, Ivey’s team members joined more than 20 other volunteers from NAWIC Space Coast Florida – Chapter 355 at The Children’s Hunger Project office in Cocoa Village last night to assemble nearly 1,000 care packages for students throughout Brevard County. The Children’s Hunger Project provides nutritional support to more than 4,800 elementary students at 60 schools who experience food insecurity. While breakfast and lunch are provided at school during the week, many of these students would likely have little or no food over the weekends without the care packages prepared by the organization.

The community outreach event was part of this year’s WIC Week, a week-long annual initiative led by NAWIC that features educational opportunities and community service engagement to celebrate the growing role of women in construction.

Ivey’s staff and NAWIC organization members — Ellie Lucas, Liana Foster, and Tara Leith were joined by coworker Stevie Chandler to take part in the care package assembly line.

We are proud to support the important work of the Children’s Hunger Project and grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful and impactful event.
