The scope of work included the demolition of the existing hydraulic elevator and concrete elevator machine room, concrete saw cutting and demolition, selective structural steel demolition, new concrete foundations, construction of a new poured in place concrete elevator equipment building, structural and miscellaneous steel additions to the west elevator stair tower, the installation of two new 5,000 lb. capacity passenger traction elevators servicing five stops on the elevator stair tower, and the installation of a new fire alarm system. The project also included the modifications to the east Mobile Launcher access tower and Mobile Launcher electrical interface tower.
