For the Orbit Café project, Ivey’s scope of work consisted of renovating and reconfiguring the existing electrical system, installation of new audiovisual systems, refurbishing, installing and all utility connections for the kitchen equipment; renovation and installation of all millwork and new paint; demolition and remodel of the employee restrooms, installation of sixteen hydroponic planters and millwork planter boxes; acoustical ceiling in the kitchen, demolition and installation of gypsum board walls; installation of three grease interceptors and two lift station pumps; new exhaust hoods; fire alarm and suppression modifications; ceramic and glass wall tile; demolition and installation of underground plumbing.
To ensure that the project was completed on time, Ivey’s routinely worked seven days a week and intermittently worked two shifts to allow all subcontractors to work at the highest efficiency on-site to meet the challenging schedule required for this project.
