The Apollo I Memorial begins with an image of the three astronauts displayed on a half inch temperate glass wall. The Astronauts are lit up by a light shining through both sides of the glass that guest can see from afar. Inside the exhibit are the astronaut display cases. Each case features a video on an OLED screen. When the images fade, the inside becomes visible, and the astronauts’ artifacts are presented. LED lighting were chosen for this exhibit because of their energy quality, color rendition and dramatic effect.

The attraction also has two display cases of artifacts that provide guest with information. A circular portal has a fog wall that resembles fog coming off a rocket. A purified filtering system was incorporated for the fog to operate daily. At the end of the exhibit is Apollo I and the three heroes’ suits are showcased in their original position inside the capsule for the guest to view.
