The Veteran’s Memorial project consisted of site preparation, underground utilities for storm water, potable water, sanitary sewer and electrical service to the new portion of the building. Ivey’s worked with the designers and Brevard County during the pre-construction phase to identify the most cost effective and best construction methods for the project.

The structural elements of the project consisted of slab on grade construction with 8-inch concrete masonry units and a wood truss roof system. Interior finishes consisted of drywall painted walls, vinyl plank flooring on the main floor with carpet tile walkways, ceramic tile restroom facilities and a second-floor mezzanine around the entire building area allowing additional room to display various military items. The observation tower has a window system that allows for viewing of all exterior display items at the Veterans Memorial Center and is accessible by both an interior stair system and elevator.
