Ivey’s Construction was happy to support Brevard Public Schools’ Career & Technical Education program once again by participating in the CTE Recruitment Fair held on April 23, 2024 at the American Police Hall of Fame in Titusville.

Structured in a ‘speed interview’ format, the event gave CTE students from Astronaut, Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, Titusville, and Space Coast Jr./Sr. High Schools an opportunity to practice their job interview skills with a diverse array of real world, local employers, including construction firms, health care providers, government agencies/municipalities, and others.

Ivey’s was represented by Nick Caplanis, Liana Foster, and Tara Leith who took a tag-team approach as they conducted 10-minute mock interviews with more than 15 students who ranged in age from sophomores to seniors.

Bright and articulate, the Ivey’s team was impressed by the accomplishments, ambition, and drive of these young adults, many of whom are on a path to success with college credits, community involvement, and industry certifications already on their resumes.

The Ivey’s team observed firsthand their eagerness and potential and were able to provide constructive feedback, as well as share insights from their own professional experiences.

In addition to developing important interview skills, the event served as a networking platform, allowing students to connect with professionals with local companies offering potential internship and job opportunities.

Ivey’s looks forward to more opportunities to support Brevard Public Schools’ Career & Technical Education, whose programs have such a positive impact on our community and the lives of Brevard County students.
